You cannot be less than you are.

You cannot be less than you are.  I guess you can give it your best shot, but shit goes awry, man.

Everything gets weird, like you’re holding your breath and trying to inflate a balloon at the same time.  Forget about it.  It ain’t gonna happen.  (Anyone else had this experience?  I used to be 3 people – the me who knew what she wanted and felt great about it, the me who was pretty damn sure she couldn’t have what she wanted and was a depressed zombie, and the me who thought that if I just threw myself at things, somehow that would equal results.)

Today I’m doing a free call on Authentic Action – and it’s all the stuff that I use to stay authentic, keep it simple, and rock out my results.  There’s no way I could do what I love, let alone be useful to others, if I hadn’t learned to simplify, and commit.

Commitment is one of the most powerful tools you have.

Once you commit to being your darling, gorgeous, talented self,  the universe moves to to meet you.  (And so do all of those subconscious resources you’ve got, that you may have been a tad miserly with.)

This was so hard for me to learn.  Even now I’ve got to remind myself, “Don’t overcommit to every option – commit to the thing within reach that will support me and my goals the most, and commit like hell to that.”  (How fabulous – why didn’t we use “commit like hell” before?  I’m gonna make it a thing.)

My first breakthrough package people are dealing with this right now – it was scary to commit, and then bam!  Major movement already, and it’s been less than a week.  That’s what happens when you have the luxury of dealing with what’s most important, first.

We cannot be less than we are.  And the sooner we stop trying to unlearn what we now realize, and unwant what we’ve come to want, the sooner we’ll be experiencing those great results.

I love this quote from Harvey Fierstien - If you don’t allow yourself commitment, what can you do with your life?

Sure it’s scary.  And inconvenient.  Change is damn inconvenient, and there are no guarantees.  Nothing is such a big scary deal that you can afford to pay the price of holding a pillow to your face.  That’s what it feels like when we’re not keeping up with who we are, doesn’t it?

How do you know what the first step is to really commit to the life you want, and to really be who you suspect know yourself to be?

1. Get clear.

Weed out the unimportant, the habitual, the checking out behaviors, the things that distract you from what’s most important to you.

2. Simplify. You cannot do everything, not in this single moment.   Learn to ask yourself what’s most important to pursue right now?  What will bring you the greatest joy, the greatest freedom, and be the most authentic for you?

You don’t have to live like a monk, just be mindful of what you’re doing with your time and resources.  Feel like an anxious wreck after an episode of V? Don’t watch it.  If you want to watch TV, watch something that inspires you, makes you laugh, makes you think.

Start to see each commitment as an opportunity towards what you want, or away from it.  Act accordingly.  If it’s not a hell yes! it’s a hell no.

3.  Commit to meaningful action.

Don’t just do any ole thing.  Be brave enough to follow the most important calling right then, or best opportunity you can get your hands on from where you are.  It is not an immediate jump to the top of anything – you have to start with what’s in reach, and more forward from there.  Hey, and ask for help when you need it. ;)

Don’t commit because it sounds easy or someone expects it of you, commit because you believe this is the best you can do for yourself, from where you are.

And what’s after that?  Keep doing steps 1 through 3.  Lather, rinse, repeat until you’ve got results that are true to who you are. <3

Okay, sweethearts.  The Breakthrough and Play a Much Bigger Game package goes up in price tonight.  There are 7 spots left at $297.  Check it out, see if it calls your name.  The package is a fully facilitated experience – processes building strategically on each other in our sessions, workbooks, exercises for you to do outside of our one-on-one time.  We systematically address each gift you have, and each challenge that’s holding you back from fully sharing that gift.  Then we rock out an amazing plan for you.

And of course, this means the single session sale ends tonight as well – if you know you’ll be wanting support in the next few months, I’d grab at least one. That way I know you’re taken care of, and we can get this show on the road.

Thanks for reading – I love how our conversation builds every day.

oh, it’s like you can see inside my brain.
    this was my favorite part:
“Simplify. You cannot do everything, not in this single moment. Learn to ask yourself what’s most important to pursue right now? What will bring you the greatest joy, the greatest freedom, and be the most authentic for you?”
I’m going to make every effort to do that today.
    thanks!

    Hi Sinclair.
I really like this post, actually most of your posts, because of how simplify big concepts and make them doable. And you’re never dull. ;)
    Thanks.
