Are you getting off?

Or, How to Orgasm in Business

Derived from the ancient greek orgasmos, from the sanskrit urj (sudden powerful feeling).

Yup, we’re gonna talk about this. With a few notable exceptions, my intuition says y’all have been settling for less than the real thing. For getting through the day, for using talents, for doing stuff you’re good at. But even if you’re going through the right motions in the right general vicinity, it still does not an orgasm make.

But first: how not to orgasm in business

  1. Be unclear on what an orgasm is. Pretend you already know how to make one happen, or expect someone else to do it for you. Twiddle your thumbs and distract yourself with other parts of life, so you don’t have answer the big questions, and just learn how to do this already.
  2. Be general and vague about your gifts and how you use them to get off, and stay that way so as to appear humble, not upset anyone, or not have to show up and see how it would actually turn out if you implemented your gifts and just got off already.
  3. Worry so much about if the other person, your client, is getting off that you forget why you’re even doing this.

Tapping into your gifts and using them in business, when you’re an entrepreneur and you’re all about being an entrepreneur, that’s hot. Nothing could be better. But sometimes it take a lil bit of education to get there.

Getting Off:

  1. You’ve got to work it. You’ve got to care enough to figure it out, on the off-chance that it – horrors! – does not come easy. (Sorry, couldn’t help myself. Had a bit of an un-grownup moment there.)
  2. And once you find the gifts and know how to use them, the work leading up to it each time is alright – it feels natural, an enjoyable part of the whole process. You trust yourself – you know the big O is coming, you’ve been through this before. And there’s no were else you’d rather be.
  3. Using your gifts, when you do it right, is that moment. It just feels that good, and that personal.

Doing it right helps with global warming, I swear to God. It boosts the crops, alleviates suffering in the world, and adds 10 years to your lifespan.

Because you’re reveling in your light, and that pulls other people up with you. No talking about just masturbating, or reveling in your ego, I’m talking about reveling in your light.

And you can do it.

If you’re not doing it yet, you owe it to yourself and your audience to go for it.

Another secret? We’ve been talking about your biz Stallouts in the Jumpstart Challenge, and here’s the thing – they become irrelevant when you’re using your gifts. They don’t disappear, they just become unimportant in the context of your prevailing momentum.

Time to get off – if you’re not up for that, you may want to get off. The, ahem, ride. Get off the ride. Because the rest of us are moving on.

Thoughts? Contributions? Anecdotes, for our edification?

I love this! When you have all the parts in place and you begin the process, let go of the outcome. You won’t necessarily get exactly the same thing every time–trust yourself to have pleasure no matter what package it comes in and be utterly present. They have the same chemical kick, creation and sex, and for good reason. Fantastic, Sinclair!

I love this. May we all be willing to show up and do the work required to help with global warming, boost the crops, alleviate suffering and enjoy hanging out for an additional 10 years :-)
